Brand New Site

We're working on a totally new website and will be phasing this one out. Check it out at MeetTheRickerts.com! We got the domain name and hosting set up and all the code running... I explain all about it in the first post. Up next -- look for lots of cool custom, integrated action from Flickr and YouTube!

For your convenience, check out the top two widgets in our sidebar on the left. They should display a list of the top 5 articles that we're posting over in our new digital playground, and a direct link to our Flickr & YouTube accounts. Just squeezing the last bit of juice out of this site before we shut 'er down. Our annual fee is not due until May 14th, so we will keep this live until then. Update your bookmarks!

91/2 Months already!!

Quincy is already 91/2 months. I can't believe it has gone by so fast. She just had her 9 month check up and is ahead of the curve. She loves to walk with daddy and traverse along the furniture. No crawling yet, but she is starting to crawl up her Mamma with little assistance.

We started swim lessons this last month and she is an instant water baby. I can just see having a hard time getting this girl out of the water. She loves to kick her legs and is even going under water already. Takes after her dad and will definitely be a swimmer I'm sure!

Here she is walking with Dad on Christmas day!

Munchin' on an apple. She loves to chew on fruit and crackers. This girl will eat just about anything!

She loved the boxes and tissue paper at Christmas.

She loves to jump in her jumparoo swing. She can't stop laughing and swinging once she starts. Gives mom a chance to shower or make dinner too!

Bath time is one of her favorites! Here she is taking a bath with daddy and fishing for her sea creatures!

We took out first cross country skiing trip up to Mt. Baker. Quincy hung out in the backpack!

the woes of parenting

oh, it's going to be fun, isn't it!?

but what would mommy say?

Quincy loves to get giggley!

A fun new game

This is Quincy's favorite new thing to do.  It's called "making a mess" or "cereal loader":

Puppy Love

We know it has been a while since we posted some new material.  I guess we were "living it up" during the waning days of summer.  We had a few adventures while the weather was still good, including a long-overdue backpacking trip.  Look for a few photo galleries in the left sidebar to catch you all up on this family fun in the near future!

Meanwhile, just to keep you baby nuts full of googling and giggling joy, we will post these three videos of Quincy working out on her tummy while Bandit watches over.  She has managed to roll over from her tummy to her back a few times, especially when her puppy is behind her to motivate her.  It didn't work this time, but they had fun trying!

Quincy tests her tummy

Looks like Quincy is moving ahead in the eating department.  Our neighbor's daughter, Heidi, (also Quincy's playmate) is two weeks older than her, but she can't do this yet:

She must take after her dad.  Except she prefers rice cereal over oats.  Oh well, can't win them all!

I'm also not too anxious to see what comes out the other end.  Speaking of which...  time to go!

Rattler skills

Our baby Quincy is well on her way to learning some killer numchuck skills.  We just have to teach her to not practice so much on herself!

Quincy is back on the Web!

For all of our loyal blog readers... Quincy is up to date!

Q_62907_081

We sincerely apologize for the delay but it is so hard to tear ourselves away from our beautiful baby, especially to do computer work!

But we know you are all just as anxious to see new images of her rapid growth.  Look for three new photo albums on the left with lots of images from the last three months.  Sorry about the sideways images - we will fix as soon as possible.

Enjoy!

Bah, Bah, Black Sheep

~ June 9th, 2007 ~

Okay, it's another rainy Saturday in Bellingham, so by request for all you huge coo-coo-ca-choo fans!

This 2 minute video is a bit better than our previous post, although the lighting is not great.  Sometimes Quincy is a bit camera shy, but for this shoot she made some very cute baby sounds!  Susie the camera-woman caught a really good squawk at about the 1:30 mark.

Enjoy!
